RC stands for radio control. An RC car is a model car you drive from a handheld transmitter that sends radio signals to a receiver inside the car. A cheap remote-control toy has on/off controls: forward or not, left or not. A proper RC car has proportional control — push the throttle a little and it creeps, push it fully and it sprints; turn the wheel slightly and it takes a wide line. That is what makes drifting, racing lines and careful parking possible. Most 1:16 and 1:18 cars sold in Pakistan do 12–20 km/h on a smooth surface. A few 1:12 off-road trucks reach 25–30 km/h.
