Everything opens, the engine bay is modelled, tyres are rubber. Also three times the space and two to three times the price. Most collectors own two or three 1:18 pieces of cars they love, not a shelf of them.

At 1:18 and 1:24, licensed models (Maisto, Bburago, Welly) hold value and are what serious collectors buy. At 1:32 and 1:64, style models are fine — nobody resells a 1:32. The brands guide explains who makes what.
1:24, followed by 1:18 for showpieces and 1:64 for volume collecting. 1:32 is popular in Pakistan for children and budget collections.
1:18 has more detail and opening parts; 1:24 costs half as much, takes a third of the space and has more model choice. Most collectors keep 1:24 as the main scale and add a few 1:18 pieces.
